3rd Hole Summary: Gentle dogleg left. The 3rd requires a good drive to the center or right center of the fairway. A drive to the left will leave the approach into the green blocked by a stand of trees. A leftside fairway bunker about 240 yards off the tee was eliminated years ago when the stand of trees on the left matured. The tee-shot landing area pitches slightly to the right. When the course is running hard and fast, players hitting to the optimal right center position may find their drive will run through the fairway. The 3rd green is two-tiered, severely contoured, and especially tricky.
